Hormones + Chemicals
When it comes to breast health, maintaining a healthy hormone balance is incredibly important. Our breasts are very sensitive to hormonal changes and undergo similar cyclical changes as the menstrual cycle. They are incredibly delicate and absorb toxins easily. Composed of primarily fatty tissue, they store fat-soluble toxins like heavy metals, pesticides, chlorine, and parabens. These toxins are all endocrine disruptors and are found in our deodorants, food, makeup, skin care, plastics, and even our water. Don’t worry; our bodies possess an innate intelligence that allows our breast cells to regenerate.
One of the simplest things we can do to support our breast health is change our deodorants. Many of you have probably heard that the toxic chemicals found in our deodorants and antiperspirants are now being directly linked to cancerous breast tissue. The skin in very thin in the armpit region and anything that is put onto the skin in absorbed. Chemicals like parabens, petrolatum, talc, and aluminum accumulate in our lymph nodes and glands and disrupt our health.
